Fiona Fitzgerald Captures IHSA/USHJA 3'3" Hunter Seat Medal Final – East Title
West Springfield, Mass.—Oct. 21, 2025—Fiona Fitzgerald rode her own Étoile to the top the 2025 IHSA/USHJA 3'3'' Hunter Seat Medal Final - East on Saturday, October 18. The Walpole, Massachusetts, native bested a field of 106 riders with a two-round score of 175.5 at the 50th annual New England Equitation Championships in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Team and High-Point Rider National Champion Titles Awarded on Final Day of the 2025 IHSA National Championship
Gladys, Va – May 4, 2025 – The third and final day of competition at the 2025 Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championship held at Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina, culminated with the presentation of the penultimate national championship titles–the USHJA Hunter Seat High-Point Rider, Presenting the Cacchione Cup, and Back on Track Western High-Point Rider.

Competition for coveted high-point rider national champion titles began on Day Two of the 2025 Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championship held at Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The first phases of the USHJA Hunter Seat High-Point Rider, Presenting the Cacchione Cup and the Back on Track Western High-Point Rider class culminated after a day of tough competition.

This year’s IHSA National Championship welcomed two highly-respected hunter seat judges, Michael Tokaruk and Joyce Przebowski, to the Horseware Ireland Hunter Seat Arena. While both are familiar with the IHSA format, 2025 marks their first time judging the National Championship.

Top Hunt Seat Teams and Riders Qualify for the 2025 IHSA National Championship at Eight Zone Finals
The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) held eight Zone Finals across North America from March 29 to April 6. These premier hunter seat competitions determined the teams and individual riders advancing to the 2025 IHSA National Championship, which will take place at the indoor complex at Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina, May 2–4.
In Remembrance - Gerald "Gerry" Chasin
Gladys, Va. – April 3, 2025 – Gerald "Gerry" Chasin's lifelong passion for horses began as a young man at Lynn's Riding Center in Forest Hills, New York. What started as a pastime quickly became a defining part of his life. He became a pillar of the equestrian community, most notably as one of the founders of the North Shore Equestrian Center. Despite a busy career in finance, Chasin devoted his free time to running the barn, shaping it into a thriving hub for riders of all levels.
